Using Gmaps-Pedometer I've tried to follow the route of the bike path between Santa Fe and Yosemite. It isn't easy, because it's obscured by trees in some stretches, and parts of it may not even have been built when those satellite images were taken.

Funny how Gmaps-Pedometer has the same satellite images as Google Maps, but out-of-date map images. So I had to do the same thing with the streets on UC Merced's campus. They are visible in the satellite images but not on the map. Whereas regular Google Maps has UC Merced's streets in their map. Whatever.

Well, Gmaps-Pedometer usually agrees with Google Maps on distance calculations, so I have to accept that taking the bike trail, rather than *actually* riding up highway 59, removes about 2/10 of a mile from the route. My best estimate for this route is now 15.0 miles.
