Want to start building for STP, so choosing some more flat rides, and trying to build back to back ride distance.
Original plan was to do Iron Horse with Joe, but it was too hot for his comfort, so we held off until late in the afternoon and went to cruise around Alameda instead. Sadly that meant i didn't get to do the distance i wanted, but no worries. Nice evening breeze whipped up along the bay, and great views of the city as usual.
I rode over to meet up with him, he put in a 10 mile ride then I rode back home. Had fun sprinting from light to light vs him in his car.. I managed to hang with him for about 4 miles car vs bike, until he pushed through an orange there was no way i was going to make..
Of course a lot of that was thanks to a little traffic slowing him down and a little tailwind to help me sit in the upper 20's

Nah, If i was concerned about that I would have ditched my father in law and rode my original plan, instead of waiting for it to cool down and ride the shorter Alameda route instead :P
