Gecko Tri Club's Open Water swim competition.
Number 3 of 3 for the day.
I peeked at the unofficial results for the time.
As a two lap course, I stopped after the first loop to check my watch. Friends were on the shore and I told them I was done. 38 minutes! Then I dove back in to complete the next loop. As it turns out I was only 43 seconds slower, which may have had something to do with the muddy uphill shore exit.
About as good of splits as I could have hoped, especially after having swum the 2000m and the 800m just prior.
Focused on drafting, breathing, and ALL the other technique that I could barely remember at that point!
