This was supposed to be a 5 hour ride. I had the chance to brave the the weather out at The Dalles for a 100-miler called Cherry of a Ride.
Glad I didn't go - lost a bike cleat 20 minutes into my ride. Can't imagine how terrible it would have been to have lost the ability to clip in 50 miles into a ride.... The good news is that I now have new "real" biking shoes. All right! I think they are awesome, of course.
