Attended my first of five "personal trainer" sessions that came with my 24 hour fitness membership. Actually, it used two sessions - and intro session and an actual core strengthening session immediately afterward. Cross crawl balancing is all I remember.....but whatever else I did was pretty hard, too. My abs were cooked by the time we were done.
First time using the 24 hour fitness pool. It is saline, but it also seems to have a little bit of chlorine. Weird muscular guy dancing over by the saunas and whirlpool, topless, in sweats and headphones for the entire swim. Very strange.
The saunas also seemed to be scented with pignon or some other SW woodsy oil. Kind of distracting, but not altogether terrible.
Worked on trying to stay horizontal in the water and long slow glides. Later, worked on some positive splits, neutral splits, then negative splits at 200m a piece. Seemed like the first swim in a long, long time.
