Can't really estimate how long it's been since the last time I went for a jog. Inspired by this website I decided to revive an old goal of running/jogging on a regular basis.

I'm sweating my ass of right now. I just got back in the house.

My goal for today was to do eight laps around the outside fence of the soccer field on w cary street in 20 min. Either I was going too slow or the distance around the outside of the fence is more than a quarter of a mile. Because I only got to six laps. In either case, I'll be back soon in another effort to reach my goal.

I am proud that I could keep a steady pace for the enitre 20 minutes without stopping. Which in some senses is part of the goal.

Any suggestions for how to determine the distance around the outside of the soccer field?

I didn't know about this site until ten minutes ago. I need to go to the grocery store and I don't have a car so, I rode my bike. It's gotten easier to ride carrying groceries. In the past, the groceries would throw off my balance. Funny thing happened right after I left the store. I was saddling my steed and I hear a voice yell "How you going to get all those groceries home on that bike?" It was Jennifer, someone I shared an English course with at the university. "I put the bags on the handles." She seemed puzzle but, I've been doing it this way for the last 6 months since my car was stolen. I could tell she wanted to give me a ride but, she didn't say anything as it appeared that I wasn't giving up on the idea of riding my bike. Besides, if I had taken the ride I would have had to walk back to get my bike.
