if you ever want to be greatly humbled about your abilities, swim in the same lane as an olympic gold medalist! one of the new coaches on the univ. team was on a gold-medal relay in 2004 and he has decided to swim with us occasionally. all i can saw is wow! even in his out of shape, not really trying speed, he is still laping us.

here's what we did:
900 warm up

3x{200 free descending
4x25 uw/k/dr/swim}

4x{ 100 back dolphin kick on 1:45
3x100 IM descend on 1:30
4x50 stroke strong on :50}
one round of each stroke

i was definitely feeling the weights from this morning. a strange mix of tired, sore, stiff, strong, weak, etc. only a couple more weeks and i should be feeling good again!

well they definitely do not top swimming with an olympian.

kim tossed two of the three old ones. he brought in two new ones from CAL. The verdict isnt out yet. The good thing is you go really far with them (almost past half tank). The thing i don't like is that the weights are not heavy.
