Eugene Bike Paths
July 05, 2008
Butte To Butte 10KOfficial time was 1:00:49.
Starting line to finish line time was 58:17
Ran it hard, didn't bonk, sprinted to the finish, threw up all the water I drank during the race. Good times!
My "fast twitch" workouts at CHS have been working out great.
Of course, when I first started running a couple years ago and weighed 200 lbs, I did a half marathon cold in 2:03
Weight: 226lbs

Creswell High School TrackJoined Lonn, Shane, and John at the tail end of their workout and did a mile run around the CHS track.
Morning workouts start the day so well. I need to get back into them...
~228 avg lbs

Eugene Bike PathsThis run kind of sucked. The outside edge of my foot was really burning for the first few miles, so I stopped and gave it a firm massage. It held up the remaining 7 miles, but just barely. My pace work suffered greatly, as a result.
Serious thigh chaffing and I don't think I'm a neutral pronator anymore. I noticed my shoe sole is significantly more worn towards the inside/big toe area.

Eugene Bike PathsBeen trying a new still of running the last few runs. Shorter stride, quicker leg motions. It's been working well. This has been increasing my average pace over long distances by at least a minute per mile.
PS: I've actually been running quite a bit, just not logging them into weendure.com :(
My average body weight is down from about 235 to 229. It seems I'm finally starting to lose weight. Perhaps the initial lack of weight loss was muscle being added while fat was being stripped off.
My injuries are holding up well and I'm avoiding the "balls out" approach to running, and taking a safer, more mature stance of restraint.
