This afternoon I decided to head out to Grace Church for the afternoon CIBA Ride. I got there about 20 minutes early and nobody was there with a bike. So I sat in my warm car and waited. 10 minutes later, I decided to bag it and do my own ride from home.

On the way out of the lot, I saw a guy pulling in with a bike on the back of his car. It had aero bars and I paused and decided I didn't want to ride with him.

Once home, I decided to head down the monon and take it easy. I threw on the Zipps for a change of pace. I rolled out and felt really good. Low HR. Dressed perfectly. Nice...

Yesterday after 30 miles and a spinning class, I took an EAS recovery drink. I think it worked pretty darn good. That or my Zipps are really fast.

I cruised down to Broad Ripple and thought to myself that 20 miles would be fine for today. Just a nice easy hour of recovery from yesterday.

Coming back north about 10 miles into the ride I was feeling great and "pssssssssssssssssssst". What?!!? A flat!? On the Monon!?!? SHIT!

I had a spare tube that I special ordered with the extended valve stem for my zipps and my c2o pump. I'm cool I thought as I tore the tire off. I pulled out the new tube and quickly realized that I ordered an 80mm stem instead of a 180mm. SHIT! SHIT!

Luckily, I wasn't out in the boonies and my bro-in-law Blake picked me up. It cut my ride short and took up most of my afternoon, but I got 10 great miles in.

And now tonight this entry has taken another 20 minutes of my day! hehe..
