odd incident on the way home. left shoelace came untied and started getting wrapped up in my pedal with each turn. of course, this happens in the one stretch where it is essential to move over and take the lane and go quickly to keep up with traffic flow as best as possible.

i managed to coast a left turn onto a sidestreet to get out of the way and get untangled. then rather than try to fight my way back onto the main road i took some side streets for a while.
