add some milage to my trip: forgot my helmet and didn't realize it until I was a half mile away! Also, tried a slightly different route (my shortcut through the park would be too muddy today), which added .3 miles. Plus I got caught at a fairly long stoplight. I will eventually be in better shape and be able to go faster, but certain lights are going to add minutes onto my commute no matter what.
