went out for the desert fixed gear championship event. got there late, so was just able to catch up with the pack on the "parade" part of the ride. it was mellow until we crossed grant st, and then it became the "race". i'm fat and slow and out of shape, so i lost the main pack after 10 miles or so. and since i was late i never got the map (if there was one), i got lost, found my bearings out west of I-10, and then just bagged it and came home. slightly frustrating day. biking is stupid.
