My bike was very dusty since I took the trail in loose gravel from LG downtown to Lexington Reservoir for two trips (4 times) already.
So I thought why not taking one more time before washing the bike.
It was my first time to take the Skyline Blvd. between Hwy9 and Hwy17. It was wide until it met Black Rd then became very narrow until it met Bear Creek Rd. Characteristic of the road was just like Mt. Charlie I took a week ago. I was a bit worried that I might have got lost and I was ahead toward the Scotts Valley…
The plan was to continue Skyline/Summit then took north side of Mt. Charlie to come down to Lexington Reservoir. But I miss the turn somehow and ended up taking Bear Creek Rd. The descent on Bear Creek Rd. was nice and enjoyable though.
After I came back to home I found that the cut on the rear tire became larer from a week ago. The tube was exposed and it was actually expanded in the cut… I was lucky that nothing happened on the decent. I replaced both tube and the tire. I used this tire only for 1200miles… Last one was replaced in 1000miles. I guess I am not very good at fully utilizing tire’s capacity.
