Breisach is 30min away from Freiburg by train. I went there on Saturday afternoon to take a look Rhine river. Firstly I checked the boat but they said it would take 2 hours. It was too long since it was already 3pm when I got there. Also two hours doing nothing must be boring.

Luckily I found a rental bike shop. The master didn’t speak English at all but I got a city bike anyway. There was a bike path along the Rhine river. A lot of cyclists and walkers were there. Quite some cyclists were extremely old. They carry a lot of stuffs. I suspect that they are doing travel by their bike.

View was excellent. I enjoyed green along the river. After I came back to the city, I wanted to take a picture of the Munster from the other side of the river. So I took the bridge. I thought I might cross the border between Germany and France. Then I found a sign “France” on the roadside so I actually entered France by a bike. There was nothing in France side therefore I took some pictures and came back to Germany. My first stay in France was ended in 30min.

I returned my bike at 6:30pm, took a dinner at the restaurant nearby then came back to Freiburg past 9pm. It was a great trip.
