I stayed in Freiburug, Germany for a week for business. Since I had whole Saturday to spend, I decided to go and see the black forest which was about an hour of train trip from Freiburg.

Luckily a hotel had rental bikes for 5 euros/ 4 hours. They are either MTBs or city-bikes in quite poor condition. I picked the one which had most air in tire since they didn't have hand pump in working condition. (They had a air compressor but they didn't want me to operate it). The bike dropped chain twice and I learned that I shouldn't shift to large cog.

Despite the bike's mechanical condition, cycling was wonderful. Trail in the forest or lake side, the view was beautiful.
