I totally think you could do the Gobbler Grind! It might not be the fastest half marathon ever run, but it's still a good experience, and it'll be a PR for you! I've never done this half before and I hear there's not a whole lot of course support or anything like that, but it's still good motivation to keep training (and in my case, keep my butt from getting too large over the holidays.) My sister-in-law, who got me involved in all this stuff, just told me to add a miler per week to your "long run" on Saturday. So, do 5miles this week, then 6, and you'll have time to get up to 9 or 10 miles. Then give yourself a week to taper, and you should be great!
