Home (2 miles)First mile 8:20 and second mile 8:20 for a total of 16:40. Clear and warm for the run. The first mile would have been faster if I hadn't been stopped by two dogs that were chasing me, they were no threat, but I didn't know that at the time.

High Line Canal WestFirst mile 8:09, second mile 8:21, third mile 8:21, and fourth mile 8:10 for a total of 33:01. Cold and cloudy for the run. Fingers didn't thaw out until almost the second mile and the first run of sweat on my face didn't show up until almost the third mile. For the longest time I have thought that the first mile on the canal runs was short compared to the rest of the miles. Well today I found out that it wasn't short. It is that I have had to stop for cross walk lights that has given me time to rest up and therefore speed up in the time of the first mile. Today I didn't have to stop for a light on the first mile and that produced a time more in line with my other first mile that I don't have to stop for.

Home (2 miles)First mile 8:12 and second mile 8:04 for a total of 16:16. Clear and warm for the run. A big gaggle of geese flew over me while I was running, largest group I've seen since Nebraska. Stopped on way out to give woman directions.
November 15, 2008
High Line Canal EastFirst mile 7:59, second mile 8:40, third mile 8:46 and fourth mile 8:14 for a total of 33:39. Clear and cool for the run, but warmed up toward the end of the run. Saw Long's Peak on the run. Didn't know it could be seen from where I saw it. Lots of snow in the mountains except on the east side of Long's Peak.

Home (2 miles)First mile 8:08 and second mile 8:19 for a total of 16:27. Windy and warm for the run, with the wind on the way out and against the wind on the way in.
