Well this was supposed to be the classic long and easy run. I started at 5 mph and every 0.5 miles I would kick it up 0.1 mph. One I started hitting the 180 bpm in the HR I would back it down 0.1 mph hoping to get the HR back in the 170s HR, the plan went great until the backing down part. The entire backing down was all 180+ HR so I don't know if I was hitting the correct type of workout for the classic long run but I got through it and made 6 miles my longest yet. I also went longer than an hour for the first time. I almost proved there is four digits in my treadmill's horrible calorie meter but fell short by 20.

Not a bad workout I just worked harder HR wise then I planned. The toe felt uncomfortable around mile 2 but I ran through it as it wasn't pain just discomfort and after a mile the sensation went away.

And again I thank DJ Tiesto's Parade of the Athletes for getting me through. Something inspirational about a dj set that was made and played at the Olympics.

Did you ever get that toe checked out?
There is no way I would want to be training if my toe hurt like a cheeky monkey.

I am saddened that I do not get to listen to Tiesto when I run. It would make it far more enjoyable.

Nice work, its good to see the mileage building up, and at a good pace too. As you're building miles I would expect the HR to climb as the body pushes past what it is used to doing.
