Met with The Machine (Lonn) and ran out and back on Ridgeline, expected to double it but felt some wear from last week's Rogueventure 40. Followed the out-back with a shorter trail loop at tempo pace, a jog to Mt. Baldy, and hike up the hill. Near the top I thought I heard my car alarm and ran back to trailhead to find that there was no problem. Got The Machine set to do another 4 on the Amazon trail before I left to have brunch with American recordholder friend and two-time Olympic medalist, in town for the Prefontaine Classic.
