Ouch! Deep contusion on my quad-thigh from falling on a stump yesterday during a trail run. Planned to do double what I did today, but my biomechanics were funky, legs tired and quads hurt. So I cut it short, and took it easy. Will ice a bit today and try again tomorrow. 49F and sunny to start, and it warmed up a bit. Ran past a Boy Scout troop out hiking, they were very cooperative in making room on the trail.

but did they offer to help you cross the street? Did you see the Dave and crew? Sounds like I should have run w/ you today - we'd have been well matched - you limping and me whining.
I was whining too. I had to buck up and look tough for the scouts, but then I went back to whining... Might rest tomorrow. Yeah, that sounds good...
You're my main man - I'm following your lead - as long as you stay true to your word. If not, let me know and I'll reconsider your qualifications for leadership.
Still resting today, but I'm itchin' to run. Might go long tomorrow, but stay on pretty flat surfaces. We'll see.
Jessie and I went out and walked about a mile - tried to sort of jog part of it. Felt like poo so we decided a walk was better for both of us - the beach was too nice to rush by anyway. I hope to go out for about 8 tomorrow but no more. I'm just feeling too tired to push it much, especially knowing that we will only have three days for recovery.
Did you notice that the weather forecast for Grants Pass this Friday is mid to upper 80's? That doesn't happen until about 5 p.m. and by that time we should be in more coastal weather but I'm thinking a 5:30 start wouldn't be a bad idea. I've got the best sunscreen in the world - you bring the bug spray!
Why oh why did you not run the Ridgeline Ramble on 5/28?!
Pure. Fun.
