Harlow-Sheldon-Monroe Loop- Distance 7.00 miles
- Time 00:59:12
- Average Speed 7.09 mph
- Average Pace 8:27 min/mile
Minor knee pain, but all the body parts functioned. 43F, pending rain, but only felt a few drops. Ran first 5 very slow and easy and kicked the last 2. Felt good to blow the cobwebs out, as much as I could.

I can't believe you did all this the day after you hurt your knee! Insanity must be secretly hidden in running shoes, and every person who buys them gets a good hearty dose. Not that I would know anything about that!
Firepile! You've nailed it. I never understood and now it all makes sense. I wonder if it all goes back to the waffle iron thing that Bowerman used - if I remember correctly, that is about the same time this jogging thing came into being...hmmm..... Good call.
Guys - it really did not hurt today. I hung close to home so I could crawl there if need be, and started very slow and easy. Hope I can avoid a repeat. Wish I understood the cause of the pain (and malfunction) yesterday.
Hey, neither of you really have cause to chide me on this matter!
