Hey there! Happy end of the year! I've had several real blessings this year - meeting you and your family has certainly been one of the best. 2006 will be a year that will be considered one of challenges, trauma, stress, and just lots of stuff my family could imagine as negative. At the same time, it has been a year of opportunity. It will be interesting to look back at it, in a few years I suspect, and see what we did with the adversity. Hopefully, at least something we did or will do, will glorify Him. Erik, thanks for helping me through some of the struggles. I look forward to the new beginning tomorrow. As I write this, I realize that while it hasn't been an easy year, there are millions of people out there who live with more "adversity" every day, than what I've experienced in a whole year. We have a lot of work to do to transform this place.
Thanks my friend. It is a constant challenge maintaining an eternal perspective on various trials. When I can remember and apply Paul's words to "count them joy", it helps. I can see some purpose, either knocking my hard edges down or giving me more understanding of others. I know '06 circumstances were both challenging and refining for you.
