Hope the taper is going well, my friend.
You are going to run like a champ in Portland!
My son Sam stayed home from school the last 2 days with a barking-seal cough, runny nose and fever. I feel it coming on too. I will tough it out and stay positive. Talk about bad timing though.... Thanks for the encouragement. esp
Hey boys! How are you doing this day? I'm expecting that it is Thursday when you read this. Did Sam make it back to school? Eric - did you go to work or let those other dam builders do their thing without your management? I keep thinking that if I constantly check in on you, it will make the cold go away. This is terrible! I'm feeling like a coach and all I've done is look in on your workouts every day for a couple of months. Well, I will instead pray and wish for you a quick recovery. I'm on my way to Boston and places south. ldr
Okay, there is one more thing to share before I head off into the night. Something that we usually do before or after a Saturday run, is to read one of the Psalms from "The Message" - today I saw this line from Ps 104: "What a wildly wonderful world, God! You made it all, with Wisdom at your side, made earth overflow with your wonderful creations". I guess that even viruses fit into that, so I suppose we should celebrate them as well. Never-the-less, how do you like that line: "What a wildly wonderful world, God!" Cool, huh? That's how I often feel when I get to run.
Hey guys -
I woke up feeling pretty good this morning. Still have a bit of a tickle in my throat but respiratory seems fine and congestion is gone. Used the zinc spray yesterday. Thanks for your well wishes and prayer. Looks like a new day and a new opportunity to celebrate this wildly wonderful world God created! I'm goin' runnin!
