Decided to ride with the fast group tonight.... bad choice. I hadn't eaten very well during the day, and probably didn't drink enough either. I got dropped.... I gave chase, but it was just wasted energy. On the lonesome ride in, I broke the cardinal rule of cycling, and took a RR crossing at the wrong angle. I ate s#!t. The bike is okay...thats the good thing, and I'm not bloody, but my wrist hurts like hell.... I can move it, so its no broken... (I hope :)) I was lucky enough to be going fairly slow..(maybe too slow?) so as my front wheel started slipping I was able to get my left foot out of the pedal. I crashed on my left, but I landed on my right side...weird.
On second thought the bike isnt alright... the rear wheel is WAY out of true (I had hit another RR crossing really hard just before) so hopefully the bike shop can get it fixed before friday.
I have to ride saturday regardless...cause I spent way too much money.
Time to take some advil and go to sleep.

I'm sorry you wrecked. I hate railroad tracks. I hope you feel better soon!
TRACKS!
that sucks Tom, hope the wrist is ok. When I wrecked at the end of May I was sure I had at least fractured both my wrists, but within a day they were pretty much fine.
oh no!
dude, that's horrible. An out of true rear wheel isn't that big a deal, i've been riding one since last weekend's crash. lol
If you were moving your wrist last night, I would have to agree it's likely not broken, but expect it to be worse today.
take a day or two to recover a bit, i'm sure you'll be good to go for Saturday's ride!
Yikes. Get well dude.
