I don't know how you runners do this. The route was 6.5 miles, we walked any hills with any steepness, probably a mile of climbs on the route, (timed out the monitor for those) - my quads are killing me! I watched a cross country race last Saturday and it looked brutal and made us cyclists look like sissies! I'm gonna be sore tommorrow.............

Isn't it weird how cycling and running seem to use totally different muscles? You'd think there'd be more of an overlap. I ran four miles in the middle of cycling training last year and I was sore for three days! It's like the cardio is fine, but the quads just aren't used to that motion.

Thanks for your comment on my crash post, btw. I'm back on the bike this week and feeling like I'll be back to full strength in a couple weeks.
