Bike path to Camp RandallI bought a new bike (a Specialized Crossroads Sport, which I'm loving so far), so Kristen and I took a bike ride down to Camp Randall, via the bike path. When we got down there, we spied some people doing the running portion of the Ironman event. Kristen told me that some Ironman athletes poop their pants during the race, because the don't want to stop and screw up their time. I'm not sure I believed her. After yelling out a couple of "woot!" encouragements to the participants, we headed back home.

3 miles thru the parkI returned my new shoes to the store and got some different ones, and I like these much better...mainly because they don't leave me with a gaping wound after only running a few miles.
For some reason I was a bit sluggish today. Must be those late rockstar nights.

5.2 milerLSD...I didn't really know how far I would go, I just went for as long as I could. I haven't run over 5 miles in probably 3 years, so I'm happy with my endurance right now.
