So, bit stiff from the run two days ago, and decidedly unfit. I disappoint myself. And then today was windy was all getup, so I could bring myself to go outside an feel crappy running against it. Time to hit the gym in my building.

The first two miles were a little uncomfortable, but not too bad. I have no real stamina anymore, but I guess that'll come back after a few more runs. (crossing fingers). I decided to run the last 1 slightly faster than the first 2 and bit, so cranked up the treadmill.

About 500 yards from the end, I decided the pace was actually a tad too fast for my poor lungs, but then found out the treadmill buttons would go down. So I was stuck at that speed. I could have stopped and started again, but I just got angry at the thought of not even being able to run 500 yards at a fast clip, so struggled through it. I've never been so glad to hit a stop button before.

Staggered around for a bit afterwards. Thank god no one else was in there - i was breathing like a nut job.

Ran in my old Equalons today, which I stopped running in about a month before the marathon as they were futzing up one of my toes. I barely had any pain in my arch for this run. Wondering if it is the shoes or the treadmill.

A more hopeful run than two days ago. Good for you on getting "back on the horse".
