Jeez, what a crap week. I'm sitting here in Austin thinking about how much training I had to sacrifice this week just to get this damn work done for this presentation I have tomorrow. I ran on Tuesday, but that wasn't very far. I've had early meeting after early meeting, then late night after late night. Worked yesterday and just couldn't eek out 3 hours to run the 15 I was supposed to.

I had to leave on a 1pm flight today, but figured I'd go out this morning and at least get some miles in. It was not good fun. In fact it sucked lady balls. I was just exhausted the whole time, thanks to lack of sleep and stress I think. But at least I did something.

I was reading all the things about the Chicago Marathon, now I'm all twitchy.

The really good thing about NYC, compared to Chicago, is that being in your own city you probably can determine where the decent pubs are along the course, should the weather turn sour. If things look inclement, maybe you could publish a map for the rest of us - it would have been a big seller last weekend up in Illinois. Even if you didn't get your 15 in, you still get 3 shiny gold stars on "effort" for working in a tough 10.43 during an even tougher week.
