Great run. Will write about it in detail later. Improved somewhere over 23 minutes from last year's MRTR 50k. My buddy Lonn won his age group against a very competetive field - he did exceptionally well. Friends John and Joe also ran well; John with a significant PR for the course. Lynne saved our bacon by supporting at the aid stations, and Dave was there for morale support. A fine day indeed. Start temps around 49F and finish somewhere in the low 70's. Most of the course is shaded and the McKenzie River is like a postcard, all 31 miles of the course.

Yahoo that was fun! Now I feel totally beat up but very happy. Right knee is swollen below the patella - should go away quickly, but I think tomorrow running is out of the question. BTW, I definitely noticed that extra .1 mile (okay, it is actually .07 miles but I round up) so I put it down on my page. Thanks again Erik. You are a great friend.
