How was H2C as a whole? Seems like it would be a great experience. Maybe next year I'll post my name for teams looking to fill a roster. Very distraught to hear about the woman runner hit by the car. I run a lot of roads myself, including in the dark during winter. How many legs/miles did you do?
H2C was fun - but it was most fun the first time I did it a few years back. The fun is with the team - having a great team of folks is the best part of the experience, making logistics work, overcoming obstacles, etc. I ran 3 legs (customary for each runner of 12 on a team to run 3 legs as there are 36 legs total). Given the exposure, one runner being struck is pretty minimal, but I agree, it was very sad to hear about.
