Best of Eugene- Distance 14.50 miles
- Time 02:00:00
- Average Speed 7.25 mph
- Average Pace 8:16 min/mile
- Elevation 850.00 feet
Total guess on time here - a fair amount of starting and stopping - I lost track - I know the mileage is correct however.
It was definitely the Best of Eugene this morning. Ran from Alton Baker to pick up Christie from Los Alamos (in town for the Trilas) - ran back and found the group: Al, Megan B, Jim, Joe, Erik, Shane, Robert (met him also at the Trials - young, very nice, studly guy training for his first marathon - did I mention "fast"?), Did Pre's Trail, then Skinner's Butte twice, river trail, Hendricks Butte to see Pre's Rock memorial, back down the hill past Hayward Field, over the river to the Nike celebration (lots of fun, great people out running, food, drinks, prizes.) Three good, solid hill climbs.
I've only gotten an average of 6ish hours of sleep each night this week - way to tired to be functional. I had to call it quits, especially since it was already 75 at 9 a.m. (we're used to upper 40's and lower 50's w/ no humidity in the early morning.) It will easily hit over 95 today.
A ton of fun being a part of Eugene. Two tons of fun having great people to run with.

Enjoy the trials. BTW-Don't know how often you get over to the coast. I have a friend who runs a Beach house rental service- sharp girl- could take care of your property and make you $ if you had an interest. Just thought I'd mention it to help her out.
