Rode for 1 hour solo and met up with the Cool Creek ride. I did the first leg of the ride, then jumped off and took the long way home. I was feeling very sleepy today and couldn't get my legs to spin at a brisk cadence. It took me forever to wake up and warm up.

I met the ride as it was pulling out and I just sat in the middle up near the front to get some more warm up. There were about 40 riders total. I took the front as we turned off of Towne onto 169th and rode the point all the way up to Eagletown, starting at 23 mph and taking it up to 26 near the end of that leg.

Once we crossed IN-32, our group was down to 8 and I dropped back to take a breather. We were heading into the wind running around 21 - 22. When we turned right onto 196th, the crosswind wasn't too bad and we started to speed up again. I took some long hard pulls running around 26 mph. With about a mile to the breakfast stop, I took the point again and rode it the rest of the way in taking it up to 28 and holding it there. It was a nice little TT interval effort. Our group started to drop riders and we were down to 3 - me, Tri-Guy and Psudeo-Euro boy. At the breakfast stop we all thanked each other for the efforts. I peeled off and poke-assed home just wanting to crawl into bed and go to sleep. It was a good thing I had the tailwind home else it would have taken me forever at the pace I was riding.

I'm not sure if I wish I was there or not... ;-)

The fast part of the ride felt pretty good, but it could have been better.

It was the solo part before and after that sucked. Dottie pointed out that it was probably the Vicodin I am taking for my tooth.

I felt A LOT better this morning.
