Met up with Doug R. and Brandon for a 2 hour ride. Each of us had different workout goals, but we were still able to ride together for most of the duration.
I warmed up for 30 minutes, did 3 TT intervals of 10 minutes each with 10 minutes recovery between each. The workload was 170 to 173 bpm, power at 290 to 310 watts and at a cadence of 90 to 100 rpm.
The workout was good, but in monitoring my power output for the first three, I was hitting my target. Near the end of the third, it started to fall off a bit so I decided to bag the fourth. There is no value in doing the effort if you can't attain the target. This is where overtraining starts.
All in all a good ride. I am looking forward to the day off tomorrow and a long RecoveryRide on Tuesday. Then, we start all over again.
