Another cold commute, though not as bad as Tuesday. I have the mindset this year that I will do almost anything to stay off the god foresaken trainer. I have only logged atou 8 hours on the trainer this year and it's already too much. The only thing that will keep me off the road is 6 or more inches of snow, ice on the roads, or temps in the single digits, and I might even try that just once. It's all about finding your limits.

Comfort Level: 8 - The Descente Wombats are fine down to about 40. They aren't a winter glove, even with the covers over the fingers. Need to start doing a sock liner below 30. The Kodiak under the jacket was just right.

Good to see I'm not the only one riding through the cold weather. I usually ride down to about 25 degrees, anything below that and it ceases to be fun (unless there is snow!)
If you plan to keep doing this- I would get winter shoes, such as the sidi freeze or Gaerne Polar comp- they come in either road or MTB models. These will keep your feet unbelievably warm.
We do fixed gear rides that last 2-3 hours and you can stay warm the whole ride!
