Tempo run at base totaling 2.53 miles. Felt great only planned on doing 2 miles but kept going when it felt good. After I finished I felt like I might have some blisters but I think I stopped before they were fully developed. In the future I need to make sure my shoes are tied tight enough or wear two pairs of socks.

Two pairs of socks, why don't you just get two pairs of shoes, and make them both Kayanos, then switch them every day.
