So this was a challenging run. I ran this on base around 7 am after working from 9pm to 6am and getting no sleep previous 24 hours.
There were two reasons I choose to run this when and where I did.
The first...because they make me. I'm required to workout on base on Friday's and it seemed to be in poor environmental and financial sense to add another 60 mile round trip to workout on base later in the day after finally getting some sleep.
The second...because running for 20+ min with a reasonable heart rate kept me awake and alert to make a safer, yet still dangerous, ride home so I could finally sleep for the day.
I guess the only lesson or take away is, the government has some pretty stupid policies and at times you need to salute and say yes sir because they aren't going to change them.

Glad to hear you're back at it, and that the shoes are working out well. I finally made myself get out and run yesterday too. Good luck with the HRM, if you start to see benefit from it let me know. I've been considering one just haven't been sold on the benefits yet.
