After a forced rest day yesterday due to work, and crappy weather today, i didn't even really feel like going out on the bike at all. But, i can't make it too easy for Sam to catch me this month, so i decided to go out for a short ride before supper.
After about 20mins of riding, i started to actually feel really good about things, so my short ride turned into a fast short ride!
Did my city loop with an extra North Loop thrown in for good measure.
Felt strong the whole ride, but actually was feeling stronger at the end of it, than i was in the beginning or middle.
Got home, and was checking things out online, i saw the points totals have been posted for our racing series. I'm currently in 5th place, 2points out of 3rd. Pretty freakin good for my first year racing, and also considering that I didn't race the first one, and crashed in the last one!!
I will not be satisfied unless I manage to pull myself up into 2nd overall after the two remaining races. It shouldn't be too difficult if i can avoid any more crashes. 1st is out of touch, but at least it's a teammate, and he owes me lots of beers for pulling him back into the lead pack in 2 of our races :D
