Rode out to the 3rd of our monthly 15km Time Trials. Took it SUPER easy on the way out, because last month i felt that I wore myself out too much just getting there. Arrived at the course and my avg HR had been 122, which is incredibly low for me.

I was picked to go first tonight, which didn't really bother me, i was feeling good, and i was still warmed up from my ride to the course.

Got off well unlike last month when i had major difficulty getting my second cleat in the pedals. Got to the turn-around and my lap marker said i was ~11mins. Did a smooth fast turn and it was back to home.

I was feeling my legs burning with about 2kms to go, the course is not flat, there are several rollers that are just enough to hurt after you've been giving it your all for 10+kms. I passed the last line before the finish and thought i might puke. lol As i rounded the last little bend and could finally see the finish line, i had enough energy left to sprint it out and cross the line doing about 50km/h.

After i rode off the lactic acid and cooled off, i went back to the line to hear my time, and watch the rest of the 17guys come in.

My time was 23.13, a minute 9 seconds faster than last month!!

I placed 3rd on the night, only being beaten by 2 guys on TT bikes. One is the fastest in our club, and he beat my by about 2 minutes, but the 2nd place guy only beat me by 14seconds!! I also managed to beat 2 additional guys who were riding TT bikes.

After the TT was all done, I rode back in with Shawn and Chris, just cruising in around 23km/h, keeping things nice and easy. For some reason, my HRM stopped right after the TT, no big deal, at least i still had the important info to check out when i got home. Then, sometime on the ride in, either i rested my hand too close to it on the bars, but it was restarted, and i lost all the data from the ride out and the TT :( Thankfully i have a second Cat Eye computer that kept track of my time/mileage, but i'm pretty upset I can't look at my TT graph and compare it to the rest. I even remembers to press the Lap button at the start, the turn around, and the end of the TT so that i'd have more accurate info on each section. Oh well, I suppose there's always next month.

Needless to say, tonight i'm feeling really really really good about my growth this year, and i can't help but feel really confident for Sunday's race.

Thanks WeEndure for playing a large role in my achievment!!
