Holy Moses did i ever feel strong today!!!

I didn't think i'd have any legs left after last nights break away with Dave, but I truly surprised myself.

I went out on the same loop I did on Monday, but added a few kms by touring down by the water and along Lakeshore.

I was concentrating on keeping my Cadence as high as possible, it's the one thing i've been focussing on since the start of the season. I've managed to up my avg by 15-20RPMs on any given day. I spent a good portion of time spinning along @ 110RPM, and for the first time, didn't feel like i was making the bike unstable spinning that fast.

I had a bit of wind to deal with along the route, but nothing like the 30km/h winds we had on our Sunday ride thank goodness, especially since i was alone.

As i reached the point of yesterday's break away, i decided to check out my avg speed thus far, and was completely blown away to see it already over 34km/h. By far the quickest I've ever managed alone after an hour of riding. This really gave me some added strength and motivation.

I know I wasn't as quick as last night along the breakaway route, but i was not far off!! I got to the last hill before town and just left all of myself on the roadway, but i went up it well over 30km/h and then sailed home to finish the fastest solo ride of my relatively young cycling career :)
