It was a beautiful warm sunny day today, so after getting my work finished and couriered to the client, I went to buy some cold weather gear. I couldn't get any cycling stuff, but i got some underarmour coldgear tights and tops that should do me perfectly for the race on Sunday morning.
I got home and got ready for a ride. There was a group ride going out at 6, so I stalled a bit, and went out for a hard hour before going to meet the guys. my avg speed for that hour was 35km/h and the power was 233 watts @ 104RPM.
I was feeling good, and am very optomistic for the race this weekend! We set out along the same route I'd just ridden, but that didn't bother me, it's a nice road with good pavement.
The group felt like going quickly, and we didn't drop my avg speed much over all. I had some great fun pulling hard on the way back into town as per usual. Even tried teh sprint for the townline tonight, but let 2 guys get too far ahead to catch. oh well, it was a good little interval.
Going to hopefully get out and pre-ride the racecourse finally tomorrow, and then Saturday I'll just take it easy with an hour or so on the bike.
