Out for a solo spin today, one of my last rides without power data, since I bought a Powertap SL yesterday!

It should arrive on Tuesday, i can't wait to try it out and see what kind of numbers i'm making.

It also opens all kinds of doors for new training regimen's also, which is extremely exciting.

I felt good day, as evidenced by the fast avg. speed for the ride.

The days are definitely getting cooler, it will be interesting to see what it's like for tomorrow's 8am ride.

I'd like to get a power meter. Much better training tool than a HR monitor.

I'd better get out and ride tomorrow or you'll overtake me before the end of August in mileage. I was trying to win out mileage in August, I probably won't be able to any other month.

It was rain and drizzle all day here today, not good riding weather!

I have a heavy few days scheduled, i've got to keep it over 1k miles for the month!

rain and drizzle all day yesterday here, and it's doing it again right now. I only hope it's dry in the morning, otherwise I suppose I'll hold off and hope it's dry in the afternoon.

August will be one of the few months that I can ride over 1k miles. My wife takes the kids to BC (Vancouver) for 3 weeks, so that allows me to get in extra mileage. Once the stage race is over, I should fall back to 100-150/month, although if the weather is nice in Sept. maybe more.

It's going to be a challenge riding the next couple days down here, the weather is awful.
