My 3rd, and final lap. It was also the last lap of the race. We got out with about 6 minutes to spare b4 the race end at noon.

I had an hour and a half to finish, so I had considered just riding slowly and easily since i hadn't slept at this point, and was feeling pretty beat.

However, i'm simply not able to ride unless it's going all out, so i turned in another pretty quick lap. I felt really good on this one, had a nice flow in the single track, and really hammered up the climbs, despite how beat up the course was at this point.

My whole team was waiting for me at the finish, and that was really awesome to have everyone yelling and screaming as i finished the last few obstacles before entering the timing tent.

In the end, we finished 2nd overall out of 83 teams in our category. We completed 28laps in 24hours, the same number as the winning team. However, they did it about 50minutes faster than we did! They are also a team comprised of 7expert riders, and 3 master A riders, basically a "store bought" team made to win. They have won the last 3 24hour races going back into last year!

Needless to say, we were all very happy with our performance, and to top it off, after the awards ceremonies were completed there was a draw where things like lighting systems, forks, and bikes were given out.

One of my teammates, Mark, won a brand new Cadillac full suspension Mountain Bike. What a great way to cap off a perfect weekend :)
