Posted over 2 years ago by Lonn

Hey! What are you doing on Monday - Labor Day? Want to do the Prefontaine Trail Restoration run? A group of us are forming up to do this short but historic run. $20 bucks to register and you get a great SportHill tech running shirt. Come join us!

I've been planning on doing this (you can see it's listed in events and I'm the only one on the list!) Sadly, I've been in a lot of pain lately - the herniated disc in my spine that was allegedly healed has relapsed into badness. I'm so miserable - all I want to do is run but instead I may end up with back surgery. Bleh.

I hope you all go and have a great time. I love reading about your runs!

This Saturday morning (September 2), a group of us amateur type runners (i.e.there are no 5 minute milers in this crowd - yet) are meeting on Bear Mountain Road (4 miles east of Creswell). We plan on gathering at 6:30 and running the lightly rolling hills of Bear Creek Road. We will travel down Enterprise Road towards Pleasant Hill and then return to make a large loop. This is a road run but through forests and fields. Some folks will be going 6-7 miles while others will be closer to 14+. If there is any way we can encourage you to join us, post a note and I will get you specific directions. We are all heading to the Duck/Cardinal game after our run so we will be done plenty early to get home, shower, change and make it to our respective tailgaters. See you down the road...

Hey Robin - sorry you're in pain! Hope you can get healed quickly.

I will look forward to some training cohorts on weekends after PDX. Until then, most of my weekend runs are with Team-in-Training friends with the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society.

Less than a month to PDX now!

The Creswell Running Club is heading up the McKenzie Trail this Saturday (Oct. 21) for the last great trail run of the season. Most folks will be doing 15 and some, 20. We are leaving the Eugene area around 6:30 a.m. and plan on being back around 1 or 2 in the afternoon. Let me know if you'd like to join us - or would like a ride.
