From the experienced rider to the casual rider, there is a route designed for you in the North Shore Tour de Cure. Novice riders often choose the 25K or 50K routes with the seaside views that have made Cape Ann famous. These routes ride through the heart of provincial New England and are relatively flat courses.
More avid cyclists may choose the challenging 100K or 160K routes that tour this beautiful shoreline as well as providing a glimpse into quintessential New England. The roads are typical of small towns and are gradual in grade and duration of incline.

i'm doing this ride, but i will likely ride the metric century instead. for those interested, it's definitely a good ride - it's fairly flat.
my girlfriend did the metric century route last year and concurs with your assessment. she's planning on doing the metric again this year, but will be riding on a hybrid, so we figure that if I had an extra 30 miles and an hour head start, we'd probably finish around the same time ;)
